Privacy

What we store

• Account: your email address and a bcrypt hash of your password (never the password itself).
• Your work: saved searches, filters, notes, per-record annotations and a copy of the last GBIF result for each search, so the page loads without asking GBIF again.
• Billing: if you upgrade, Stripe processes the payment. We store only the Stripe customer ID and your plan. Card details never reach this server. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Feedback: what you type into the feedback form, and the reply address if you give one.

Cookies and analytics

One cookie keeps you signed in. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across sites. There is no advertising and no third-party tracking.

GBIF requests

Searches go from this server to the GBIF API, so your IP address is not sent to GBIF. The map loads base tiles from tile.gbif.org in your browser.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your data. It is processed only by our hosting (Railway), payments (Stripe) and analytics (Cloudflare) providers to run the service.

Deleting your data

Delete any saved search at any time. To delete your whole account, use Delete account on the dashboard. It removes your searches, notes and annotations immediately. Cancel a Pro subscription first in the billing portal.
