The service

Specimen Finder Pro is a hosted tool for finding, saving and exporting specimen records published through GBIF. It is provided as is, without warranty. Records can be incomplete or wrong. Check important records against the holding institution.

Data licences

Records belong to their publishers and carry their licence (CC0, CC BY or CC BY-NC), shown on every exported row. You are responsible for following those licences, including attribution and non-commercial terms where they apply, and for citing GBIF as described on the About page.

Fair use

Do not use the service to bulk-mirror GBIF. For very large downloads, use GBIF’s own download service, which issues a DOI. Do not try to access other people’s accounts or disrupt the service.

Billing

Pro costs $5 per month, billed by Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time from Manage / cancel subscription on the dashboard. Pro stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. If a charge looks wrong, tell us through the feedback form.

Changes

We may change features or these terms. Material changes will be noted on this page.
